Yes, that is a carrot in Art’s hands. He’s not eating it, really. He’s just gumming it. He appears to be teething – drooling, rash on his chin, biting things, crankiness – and gnawing on a cold carrot is supposed to be soothing for him. It seems to work. It’s definitely funny to watch!
