Papa is a big ear

Had fun showing the kids these videos I shot for work. We’d watch them each night on TV. Wore a huge paper mache ear and walked around the state fair asking a single question each day. A few of them are pasted below.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

Our favorite movie

We have long been fans of Totoro, an inspired piece of film making from Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki. We own it and have watched it many times with the kids. And our local cheap theater the Riverview played it on their big screen last week. What a joy to watch big! A shot from our seats:

Rook

Grandpa Tim and Cynthia are in town for the uptown Art fair and are staying at my mother’s tiny apartment near our house. Here we are playing some late-night rook after a long day at the fair (Photo from Cynthia!)
