I SEE YOU

Nature day and an owl.
For nature day on Monday we went on a walk, all six of us, through the Robert bird sanctuary again near Lake Harriett. This was the place that last year we followed a deer and the the deer followed us. But we’ve never seen an owl! Art and Jessica both brought their bird books to identify birds along with some binoculars. As were were walking through a trail a nice birder fellow walked with us for a while so he could point out where a great horned owl was sitting on her nest. You can’t see it in this photo but there we babies, or at least little balls of fluff that we suspected were them. It was excited to see such a big beautiful bird sort of up close.
One at a time.
Jessica was standing in the bedroom nursing a baby this morning. She looked down lovingly and said, “You know, sometimes it’s nice to just nurse one baby.”
Easter Brunch.
Today we had over family for no other reason than because we could and because it fun. Lots of coffee, lots of babies, lots of laughing.

| At one point I lost track of my camera and found this gem as I was downloading photos. I still don’t know who took this. That bottle was full before Deb gave it to Bailey… |

| Adria (Bubbe) was coaxed out of her house and ended up having a ‘lovely time’ and eating quite a bit. Hooray! She even let us roll her to the park on a walk. |

Well timed nursing.
What we heard this morning.
Arthur and Lewis often wake up around the same time, 7am. They often chit chat in their room just laying there, Art in his top bunk, Lewis right below him. This morning Art asked Lewis, “Lewis, do you want me
to snuggle with you in your bed?”
“Uh huh,” said Lewis in sort of a pouty of-course-I-do voice.
So Art crawled in and a few moments later I heard Art ask “Lewis, can I count your teeth?” And then I hear Art say methodically, “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, fifteen, sixteen, eighteen, nineteen.”
And then Lewis said, “Art, can I count your teeth?”
“Sure.”
“One, two, three, four, five six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, thirteen, fourteen, sixteen.” They were just laying there all snuggled up side by side with their mouths stretched super wide waiting patiently as their brother counted their teeth.
