My father’s massive garden.

My Dad rarely does things on a small scale. If you’re gonna do something, do it BIG AND WELL. He wanted a garden,  one large enough to have plenty of stuff to can, give away and eat on through the winter. So he cleared a big chunk of woods behind his house (he learned how to drive the backhoe/digger), built tiered and huge garden boxes and brought in truckloads of rich soil. He’s doing all sorts of research. I’ll post another photo next year once things take root. It’s gonnna be crazy.

This photo (with Art and his cousins Mira and Zach) shows less than half of the entire thing.

My Papa’s photos from last week’s game.

That’s my dad there.

Last week I photographed the Vikings game in Charlotte, NC. My father was there as an assistant of sorts. The game was the initial excuse to take the whole family out for a visit (my father, step mother, step sister and her family and other live out there). We had a wonderful time and I’ll be posting some more photos soon. Anyway, I was able to get my father a photo credential for the game, and I’m posting his photos here. He looked sorta silly with a big fancy photo credential and vest with his little point and shoot. But he actually was really helpful in running the video camera for me after the game, even solving a last minute audio snafu by using his fancy iPhone as an audio recorder. We’ve done this a couple times before, and it’s real fun for a son to show his Papa what he’s good at. Here are some photos.

This is actually a decent action photograph!

A new phase begins!

They have been barking at each other for a few weeks and getting mad
when one takes the other's toy, but today the girls have shown the
real start of Toddler Possesiveness. Netta was sitting in a toddler
sized plastic lawn chair outside and Bailey tried to get into it.
Netta point blank PUSHED Bailey down. And again. And AGAIN! She was
not going to give up that seat or share it. No! So, we have entered
a new phase in twin parenting. Not like we haven't gone through this
kind of thing before, though.
